INITIAL CONTACT
Monica offers a complementary 15 minute initial telephone consultation. This provides us the opportunity to talk about your concerns, what her services are, and if you think she may be a fit for you and/or your family.
INVESTMENT
Individual Therapy: $165/hour + GST
Parent Consultation/Family Therapy: $190/hour + GST
*Payment by credit card, cash or e-transfers is accepted at the end of each counselling session.
*Please be aware that 48 hours notice is required for cancellations and rescheduling. The full fee is charged for missed sessions or late cancellations.
COVERAGE
Therapy provided by counsellors is not covered under the basic BC Medical Services Plan. Many people have access to Extended Health Benefits (EHB) through their employers, which may include counselling services. You may be able to use your EHB to cover all or part of the costs of your counselling with Monica. You will need to ensure that your coverage provides counselling services provided by a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC). If you have this type of coverage, than receipts issued by Monica can be used towards reimbursement. If your plan does not cover Registered Therapeutic Counsellors, but only covers Registered Psychologists, Social Workers and/or Counsellors with other designations, you can make a request to your employer, through the Human Resources Department, that they adjust their plan to include counselling by an RTC designation. Many employers are not aware that making this change to their plan is easy to do, and at no extra cost to them.
A receipt will be issued for each session. Receipts can be utilized for health plan reimbursement or may qualify towards tax deductions.
Monica is an approved provider with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), ICBC and Métis Nation BC.
